Ptosis Repair

    Before
    After
Ptosis repair is a surgical procedure that is used to correct ptosis, which is a condition that occurs when the upper eyelid droops or sags. Ptosis can be caused by a variety of factors, including aging, trauma, neurological conditions, and congenital defects. It can affect one or both eyelids and can cause a variety of symptoms, including difficulty seeing, eye strain, and eye fatigue.

During ptosis repair, the surgeon will make an incision in the eyelid and lift and reposition the muscles and tissues to lift the eyelid to a more normal position. The surgeon may also remove excess skin or fat if needed. Ptosis repair is usually performed as an outpatient procedure, and the patient can usually return to their normal activities within a few days. It is important to follow the post-procedure instructions provided by the surgeon to help ensure the best possible results.
